lester, the rewarding part of p.n is in images such as this one. being able to, even just mentally, "travel" to amazing places and see amazing scenes. i recall the other images you've taken in this location. much to admire here.

Dror, thanks for dropping by once more. Such a lovely afternoon for photography in this particular place that day and the sunset was just irresistible. I wanted this scene so much to document the three bows of the boats 'witnessing' the setting sun. Checked my viewfinder and surprised to see no flare with the lens directed at the blazing sun, I just popped some shots. Best regards. - Lester

It is a wonderful photo.  Everything things just right in terms of color of sunset, reflection upon the water, and the subtle cast of the sky uplon the boats just in front of you.  .. I like sunsets.  Philip

Philip, I appreciate your interpretation of 'Venice Canal Sunset' featured in your attachment. Thanks for your kind remarks.

Patsy, always a pleasure to read your comments. Best regards!

I really like this composition.  Perhaps because you were aiming so directly at the sun that any lens flare has been minimized (that's been my experience).  To my eye, the green patches stand out a bit more than I would expect (especially in the shadows), but that's a minor nit.  I've travelled in boats like these -- great fun!

Another beautiful image of yours. All these bankas pointing at the sunset, all leading the eyes to the same point. It's a joy to gaze at it. Regards, Jean-Marc

Wonderful image, Lester...composition is beautiful, as usual...but the strong point is the inclusion of the sun and the colors captured thereby...my best
