reflecting on the past

part of a series of photos I took Oct 11, 2009... it still fascintates me

how the shadow/reflection or whatever you want to call it brings out

the bird's outline in full colour vs. the glare off the water.

I never submitted this one back then because I felt the background

rocks were too bright.

A moment well seen and interesting reflection and stones texture,IMO is just a bit overexposed and the water light disturb this moment,if you don't mind I did a version,best regards.

thanks for your time and effort.  please look at this folder Waterton 2009 and you will see the rest of the series... this is how I feel the photo looks the best with the rocks as a background and the shadow jumps out at you in full color.

that is how the images occured, no fancy photoshop effects.

Me too thank you for your answer,is true some time the natural image looks so as you caught this one and is a question to present it so or changed?all your series looks natural,maybe so as you seen with your own eyes.Nice to change ideas and find different opinions,all my best and good light for new photos.

I think the area of focus here is the shadow of the bird, not the bird itself. This is a true original -- something rarely seen on PN or anywhere else.

This is a truly inspirational image!
