Interesting how the Mare Tranqualitatis looks blue, compared to the other mare.  I've noticed this before.  Very nice photo, by the way.

Hi William,

Nice image display.

I, too, never tire of observing the moon with an eyepiece or with my cameras.

I have been involved with astrophotography for 57 years now and have evolved from the film days to the modern sensors.

My observatory houses 7 mounts and over 40 OTA systems, and the Tak 102 is one of the instruments. Beside telescopic systems, I have the finest in Leica, Nikon, Canon, Carl Zeiss,Hasselblad, Bronica and Pentax  lens that do an excellent job recording what I need to document.

I post all my lunar work as BW, since this closely resembles what the eye detects. Some false color is caused by atmospheric conditions, unless there is a total lunar eclipse involved.

Here is South Florida I enjoy the top seeing conditions world wide. This is not necessarily great transparency, but the air quality and steadiness often exceed 1/3 arc-sec , which is beyond the diffraction limit for most amateur telescopes.

Best Regards, Mike
