Located about 40 kilometers on the North of Natanz Highway between

Qom and Isfahan, Abyaneh is located at the end of a winding road after

passing five mountainous villages. Abyaneh is situated on the foothill of

Karkas Mountains and enjoying an altitude of 2100 meters above the

sea level. The lush pastures around the village provide rich grazing area

for cattle. Abyaneh has a long history which dates back to more than

2000 years ago. It has been registered on Iran's National Heritage List

since 1975. Contrary to many villages, Abyaneh has witnessed a

relatively equal wealth distribution throughout its history. The wealthy

Abyaneh residents were landlords of surrounding villages. An intricate

traditional resource management system evolved during the long history

of Abyaneh.

Great angle of view resulting in this appealing perspective of village life.  Love the shadows and building shapes.  Your story behind the picture is also very intriguing.  Looks like a good place to retire.

Very well composed image giving a flavour of the architecture that adds to the history of your narrative. The human elements add interest, scale and depth to the shot.

Very well done!

normally this kind of photo are unsatisfying, becouse is really difficult to fill the photo with the feeling of this places. but here i see very well the village, the life and i smell the atmosphere. also a good moment for the light, and this a definetely very good documentary photo.

Very well composed picture.  There are two (three) focal points, the man in the front, the man at the end of the street and something white in between.  Maybe that are vases ??

I like pictures with two focal points, I only wonder if the third focal point adds to the strength of the picture.

Nevertheless wonderful picture with great lighting and tones.
