Located about 40 kilometers on the North of Natanz Highway between

Qom and Isfahan, Abyaneh is located at the end of a winding road after

passing five mountainous villages. Abyaneh is situated on the foothill of

Karkas Mountains and enjoying an altitude of 2100 meters above the

sea level. The lush pastures around the village provide rich grazing area

for cattle. Abyaneh has a long history which dates back to more than

2000 years ago. It has been registered on Iran's National Heritage List

since 1975. Contrary to many villages, Abyaneh has witnessed a

relatively equal wealth distribution throughout its history. The wealthy

Abyaneh residents were landlords of surrounding villages. An intricate

traditional resource management system evolved during the long history

of Abyaneh.

The inner framing, the play of lights and shadows on the street and the walls, the almost hidden woman, the pleasantly looking old architecture make this picture a work of art! Congratulations Sadegh!

Warm regards!
