Rain drops and color contrast of the tulip is just wonderful... It only concern is it lacks sharpness... Nice shot btw..

Roger: Thanks. Its really hard to come up with a flower shot thats original. I'm glad that this shot stands out as original. Coming from you that is a great complement! Your flower shots are amazing.

  I'm not sure if a lot of people  know that the background is actually is a mist. It kind of almost looks like blades of grass, but i think it helps give the picture another dimension, instead of just a blacked out background! 

 

Sreehari: I agree i probably should have bumped up the ISO a bit, and gained some shutter speed. because there was a slight breeze. But for the effect i was going for with the mist in the background i wanted it to streak so i needed the slower shutter. So its kind of a catch 22.

Don, i for one really appreciate your taking the time to explain how you went about getting this image, the journey is sometimes as interesting as the destination. i had just come back for another peak at this lovely image am glad i did as the journey here is as interesting as the image is lovely!
