After wandering around in the deep grass he/she finally, but stealthily,

emerged for a clear shot before returning to the deep grass.

Marvin, a nice portrait as the head appears to be naturally highlighted and there arn't any distractions blocking the view of an extremely challenging bird to land a clear picture of. Only thing I would do is crop it a little tighter , mostly on the left. Then select and burn in the highlighted reeds, especially the one closest to the head.

Nice lighting as Randall sated and the pose of the bird and it allowign you to approach to get such details is fantastic... Great shot... MJ
