A dog's determination to achieve a goal or complete a task often puts humans to shame, doesn't it?  Especially dogs who are in the categories of sporting dogs, working dogs, and herding dogs.

What's there to say about this photograph other than it's technically gorgeous and that it captures Winston in his prime, doing something he obviously loves to do?  What makes it even more special, in my opinion, is that he's doing it for you...not just for himself.

This is one of those photographs that make me wonder why I can't make photographs like this.

Thanks, Jim.  Judging by how high he is looking, his determined look, and my memory, I'm about 90% sure that this is the one where my dad's dog ran in from the side where I was standing.  Trying to make her stay after yelling the go word to Winston and shooting at the same time was a mess.  She didn't have nearly as far to go as him and he's not used to not being the first to whatever was thrown.  Let's just say, she didn't have the stick for very long.:)
