Iced Apples

eos 10 fan

Slide scanned with Nikon LS2000, printed by a Kodak sub-dye to 8"x10" then scanned by Epson 1250 Photo at 72dpi. In the fall, starting a few weeks before picking, the orchardists water the apples to 'plump' up the juices and add colour. Sometimes, when the temp drops below freezing, you can find whole orchards covered in a thin sheen of ice.

I used a 540 EZ in A-TTL mode set at -1 2/3 for fill, tripod and MLU with 10" delay. When the slide was originally scanned there was some colour adjustment in PS before the print was made.

I love it. I think you framed it well by not putting those apples in the center. Its exposed well, the colors are nice... It's a great shot!

Great shot. And I think you categorized it correctly. The apples are in fact under solid water. :-)
