a fine and interesting composition, not the least due alone to the dual presence of the bovines... the hues of the water are greatly inviting - the water hereabouts must be crystal clear... i particularly like the balance of the tri-zoned composition

it's very strange, in Italy, to see cows on the sea shore!

Tnx for stopping by, comments, critiques and ratings

very unusual indeed - the color saturation is nice, and you convey that lazy, languid feeling very well - where is this in Italy?

The biologist in me wonders if the low tide exposes seaweeds that they might graze upon.

The photographer in me appreciates your contrast of orange - browns and several shades of blue-cyan as well as the pleasant composition.

The scaredy-cat in me wonders if they are friendly or not.  I see green vegetation higher up - perhaps they would have accepted a hand-out.  I once fed some wormy corn to a cow over a fence next to a place I worked and she came to greet me every day thereafter.  She let me pet her head but she really hoped for more corn.  Who knows - you could have had a few hundred pounds of steak and roasts following you down the street.

thank-you for your comment.

As you can read from the left bottom caption this is a beach, named "Pixinnì" (pronounce it - more or less - pee-shee-nee, with the accent on the last "ee") halway between Cagliari and Capo Teulada, on the south coast of Sardinia, a big island in the center of Tirrenian Sea, facing the coasts of Spain. The day was wonderful - sunny and warm but not hot and the lazy mood was very intense out there.

That'all. Best regards

Mauro

Let me try to answer to all of you three guys!

1) to the biologist: Pixinnì is the only beach, in 40 km of sandy coasts, literally covered by a thick layer of seeweeds and many cows were lazily grazing it upon. The few calf in the herd were very eager of that food. These cows are the sardinian answer to the famous Irish Angus!

2) to the photographer I would just say thank-you: I appreciate your judgement about the palette and the composition. Indeed a photography is made up mostly by these two elements!

3) to the fearful friend I will say: don't worry! they were totally absorbed by their nothing-making and they didn't even glance at me. On the other end I do not appreciate third-type-encounters with these horns!

Best regards

Mauro
