Hmm.  Excellent upper area and OK at the bottom. I like the person being in the shot too, though him (her) having the dark line behind them isn't ideal.  But what bothers me is the red thing there - really seems out of place, and draws my attention away from the other areas.  Can you digitally remove it?

Here is an option that would take care of Greg's comment above...experiment with a black and white conversion.  This image could look pretty cool in monochrome.
