It's not easy to take great looking moon shots.  But you did exactly that here.  The mountains look 3-D.

That's some back yard you've got. Fabulous color and exposure. You must have used a quite-high ISO setting for this, as I see no visible cloud blur.

  This is a blend of two exposures. Iso 100 on both; slow moving clouds.

I agree that you have an excellent first light moonscape here.  I like the hook in the clouds right below the moon.  The cloud shapes really enhance the image. Nature was on your side.  I opened the image and tried sharpening it a few ways.  I think you'll see that sharpening the mountains more will help the image.  Just take care not to over sharpen.  Congratulations are due you for early rising.  Larry

I think it's quite difficult to take a night shot and still have it look like night.  Your blend of two exposures was done exceptionally well -- I can see detail, but it still looks light night.
