dom1 1 Posted April 12, 2011 Real nice capture. That 5D must feel like a clunker after the Mark III : ) Great colors though. Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted April 12, 2011 Thanks Dominick! It takes one to know one, LOL! So which one you are shooting now aday Sir ? very noticable with focusing speed and even though the 1D Mark III is only 10mp one would get more good shot. However, with the 5D II when one does get a good shot then the details and resolution will outshine the 1D Mark III (a little bit better). Link to comment
dom1 1 Posted April 12, 2011 I just picked up a 1D IV...and learning how to use it. It's so fast with it's auto focus and fps it makes the 5DII seem like yesterdays technology. The low noise at higher ISO allows more flexibility with aperture and shutter speed. But, the 5D still, overall, yields better image quality. Trying to pack light for a long vacation next month, I will likely pack only the 5D. If I were going for action, like sports or birds exclusively, my choice would be the 1D. Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted April 12, 2011 The 5D II is slow even when compares to the 40D at 6.5 fps let alone th 1D IV. I pack both cameras where ever I go (daily to work too). Who knows when I need a fisheye Hummingbird shot, LOL! Happy shooting! Link to comment
jim_j2 9 Posted July 16, 2012 Tm J,Some very nice details here! And a wonderful composition and background.I love the fine details of him with just enough movement of the wings to give it some life!Very well done!I caught it going across the "Members Daily Sampling" this morning, and I must have seen it before because I've already rated it, but I guess I didn't make a comment as I usually do! Well, done so now!Regards always,Jim j. Link to comment
