National Geographic standard .Definition, lighting & expression excellent in place of living. Well done.

At first, i impressed by amazing clarity and details over face and beard. And secondly by very apt mono mode with great tones and shades. B/g elements are also expressive and necessary, indicating life style and character. Bravo.

The expression and environment work extremely well. His eyes are clear, he stands compositionally in a good place, and I like the sense of location I get. The lighting is well handled.

I'd like a lighter touch, more subtle, on the processing. It comes across as very sharp, especially the beard. So it looks more like steel wool or wire, not hair. The skin looks a bit like plastic, not flesh.

Despite my hesitation about technique, it's a very personal and wonderful vision.

It is a very nice portrait ,even though I agree with Fred about the technic, I  would have liked as well his placement a tiny bit more to the LHS ( center of the wooden wall and the two poles of the fence). Still a very nice B/W work.

The camera work is astounding, as always, but much more so even the ability to capture something personal of your subjects. A very striking, remarkably intimate portrait, bravo.

Your are becoming very adept with that Topaze plug in!! I can't seem to get the faces to look as natural as you can. Wonderful work Kaushik. Kindest regards, Gail
