Thank you all for your rewarding comments.

I did, indeed, submit this image to a peer-reviewed gallery as well.

I hope they also feel enthusiastic about this one!

I like the idea and the reflection of the venetian blinds in the tea pot.  Good idea to add a tad of exposure compensation to allow for proper illumination levels on the blind and to add a bit of detail & colour to the  teapot which would be otherwise in deep shadow.  I think I would have positioned the teapot a little closer to the far table edge so as to minimize the amount of table in the photo.  No need to include any more of the teapot as it is adequately identified through the business end shown.  Good compositional decision.  How about one with the other object (pad for teapot?)  turned 180 degrees so it's pointy edge echos the direction of the spout and it's large curved edge snuggled into the curve of the spout?  Just thinking!  Best, LM.

Thank you very much for your detailed comment and suggestion.

I did indeed play with the window stop; it allows for a variety of positions. Among the alternatives I have another one I like, as well. Sometimes it looks even better but I had to stop somewhere ;)

It is a very nice composition and play of  back light. I like a lot the color palette, the play of texture on the teapot, the curved addition on the LHS, (even though I don't know what it is.... )and the soft light on the table. Very well excuted.
