It seemed too cold in here. People from other part of the world ( torrid zone) are amazed

viewing this composition. It's almost similar to some of the clouds from above except

the purple blue colors. Thanks Len.. and have a great day!

Thanks for your visit. Not a scene you'd likely be familiar with I take it?   Taken in early March, the ice in Collingwood harbour had just started to break up, making for some interesting compositions.  What really got my attention initially was the various shades of blue colour of the water.  The low, warmer colour of the  lighting nearing sunset simply enhances the cold feeling the water (accurately) gives.  While the shot seems to work well in B&W it doesn't have the same feeling as the colour version.  Best, LM.

i understand what sally said, becouse, looking at the miniature, i thought to see a sky...... is a wonderful spectacle, and it's so for the perfect exposure.

Thanks for your views.  Yes, the thumbnails sometimes hint at a different story.  Most photos are best viewed 'Larger'.  I guess this one is no exception.  Nothing here for scale so this could be icebergs in the Atlantic or a street puddle with slush. :-)  Your visits are always appreciated.  Best, LM.

Hi Len

Amazing textures and composition. It reminded me in the cold of Canada, every thing frozen, even my ears.. I felt it will be broken. Best regards

Thanks for stopping by.  I'm reminded of a cold Canada every winter day. Lots more frozen than just my ears.  :-)  Still, there's nowhere else I'd rather be. (easy to say now that spring is here)  It was late afternoon & the textures of the deteriorating ice and the colours in the water attracted my attention.  Best, LM.

Thanks for your thoughts.  The quality of the light here is due to the low late afternoon sunshine.  Though the least sharp of all my lenses the 100-300 zoom, with a little help from PhotoShop, provides adequate sharpness overall.  The thin black frame lines have become somewhat of a signature for me.  Enough to contain the image without competing with it.  My opinion anyway!  Best, LM.

Crocodile?  Well, albino perhaps.  In fact the only dangerous animal in these waters is hypothermia.  Not too swimmer friendly, especially at this time of year.  I too love the colours.  Thanks for your visit.  Best, LM.

Colours and exposure are just right. The only issue to worry about is that you may be to close to the edge.

No fear!  I was well back from the edge behind a 100-300mm zoom.  Colours thanks to  Mother Nature & Fuji film, exposure thanks to a Minolta IVf incident meter.  Thanks for your most welcome visit.

Len:  I like this.  So balanced and easy to look at.  Has a geometric feel to it.  Thanks for posting it.  Alan.

Good to have your visit.  Reminded me of a refreshingl drink in the summer time.  I'll pull it out in the heat of August for wallpaper.  :-)  Best, LM.
