matussik 0 Posted April 10, 2011 What I like most in this image is the opposition between the foreground and the background:much importance is given in your composition to the foreground; it has a nice color contrast between the fresh green moss and fir needles; the soft edged stones build strong diagonals pointing up and thus giving a positive feel. The background trees in the cold fog on the other hand are almost black and their dark branches are closing the upper edge of the photograph while their thin trunks are pointing down and bear on the foreground and are thus pushing my eye back to the foreground.Very nicely done!Kind regards, Jan Link to comment

newfocus 0 Posted April 12, 2011 It caught my attention for a similar reason to the one Jan mentions, i.e. there seems almost a tension between foreground and background in a way that really emphasises the foreground colours, shapes and textures. I find that slightly uncomfortable but it makes it an interesting and unusual shot. Link to comment
