William,   My wife and I visited this interesting monument.  I like the angle you have chosen with the boulder in front.  Seeing your image I realize that black and white is the correct medium.  I'd toy around with different tonal values to be sure you have the gray values as you think they look best.  More contrast might help.  Also, I'd reduce the noise.  Nice shot.  Regards.   Larry

My thoughts parallel those of Larry.  I think the composition is great, but the B&W doesn't seem to be jumping off the screen.  I wish I could offer some specific suggestions, but I don't do enough B&W myself to be proficient.  I think some experimentation is in order, particularly with the middle tones.  You may want to try some subtle dodging & burning to get more differentiation within the midtones.
