I don't understand what the word composite exactly means here?! Is the model inserted into the picture, is the picture turned from day to night all together or the background turned from day to night and the model inserted! I now don't know what did I say, ha!  Or it was just "find edges" filter applied in the background!? Never mind, good picture anyway!

Yes, Pierre. The model is inserted in the background which was a daylight shot. The background has been manipulated but not with HDR. I attended a workshop with Joel Grimes... wonderful teacher and inspirational (he's colorblind!). It is, indeed, very different from my other work but I already had the two photos to work with and now I have the courage to try something new. :)

Susan, thanks for the explanation.  This is really well done, everything blends in nicely.

I didn't mention HDR, I just suspected on find edges filter in Photoshop, but since you don't use PS...! Here is one and here is another example of turning day into night, I hope it could be helpful to your further brilliant work!
