I really don't understand your reference to a wave... I've examined this frame closely and I have yet to find a wave! ;-)...  Of course your slightly editorial comment is right on, but, hey, we're all guilty.  A good shot, by the way.... Mike

Bottom line; the exposure and highlights work well with the classic thirds rule here. Balanced and proportioned.

A perfect photograph ruined by that whitish stuff you got going on top of the p[age. Can you photoshop it out by any chance?

Mike, Gray, Drew Tony, and Steve, thanks for the comments, wit, and humor. Emmanuel,  I appreciate your input.   We all see things differently.   However, I felt that the white water, the surf,  was relevant to the surf series I have been posting as it places the young lady in context.

well i guess i got caught too...  i'm so tired of shooting street shots and appreciate other 'views' of the world. As a very amateur stock photographer (in my spare time) my eyes were drawn to those 2 burnt highlights (which get a stock image rejected immediately 99% of the time). quite an excuse eh ?

anyway i love the composition and also love your other shots and your flowers.. you were lucky to have those flowers which give you all kinds of curves and geometry to play with.. very rarely flower pics keep your eye in the frame for so long..  there's only so much you can do with a rose or dandilion.
