Having done a lot of bird pictures, I am always amazed at how much personality we can squeeze out of these things. I am always impressed with bird shots that do more than portray the grace of their movement, but also those that portray the severity of their bearing. This image gets a 7 from me. It is not the most dynamic image in the world, but, man, that face reminds me of my 4th grade teacher, Mr. Chukwu. I still feared the man when I went to visit him as a 27 year old man. Fine work.
