is a nice series, this one of the river, and this photo has a quite and well shown atmosphere. with something funny too, becouse it seems that the man on the right forget his fishing rod....

Andrea, thank you. What you see in his hand and piled around him is his fishing net made of bright polypropylene plastic. No fishing rods for this fisherman. Fishing is his livelihood. A bamboo pole is used for rowing and steering. The net itself has two long stays, the arcs of which you can make out, reaching from end to end of the craft. Considering the large mesh of the net I expect he is interested only in the larger fish. ...and note where he has stowed his footwear

These guys make it look like an art form, thier balance and movement at one with thier vessel. I would enjoy watching a spectacle such as this very much. Such skill is often taken for granted by all but those who make thier living from it. I like the wind rippled water, it allows the sun to catch the hightlights nicely. The resulting textured reflections are also a nice touch. Oh yeah and I do like where he stored hsi footwear : - )

Best Regards

Alf
