Very nice processing and very good diagonal composition. Love the warm colors and the luminosity. If only you could bring out some detail in the foreground...

For me the image is very idyllic. The composition is made of a very clean and clear elements that are in continuity, working so harmoniously. The bright and shaded parts work in a rhythm continuously which makes the image beautiful and very pleasant to look at for a longer time.

Best regards,

Krisi

Claude, I understand your thoughts concerning the absence of detail in the lower portion of the photo...but trust me, you don't want to see what's there!  Seriously:  nothing of interest, lots of "ugly"...and as well, it was just a creative choice that defies sensible explanation ;)  Thanks you for the visit and for taking the time to comment.

Linda,  I like "dreamy". The perfect word for the effect I wanted to depict.  Thank you, mam!

Kristina, Thank you for your critique/comments.  At the time I took this picture I had stopped to ask directions from a couple of mechanics who were working on a car in their garage. I had noticed the church as I pulled over...and I'm sure I would have photographed it regardless...but suddenly, as I stood there...light from the setting sun struck the side of the steeple tower and lit it as though by soft candle light.  The original file, minus any post processing, while not possessing the overall dramatic effect as the finished product...did capture that light much better, but I needed some fairly heavy PP to overcome the strong backlighting that all but impossible to control.

Attempting to capture beautiful light is a goal of every photographer...but try as we will, there's nothing quite like being there!

I guess you bought yourself some time while talking to mechanics and came to the church just in a right time. (I'm talking humorously.)

Are you a professional photographer?

Best regards from Krisi

Krisi, I'm a commercial photographer...but whether or not I'm a professional is up for debate! ;)

I was used to a commercial photographer too.

I admire your pictures a lot. You have distinguish style. Pictures are so deep and soulful. For me they are art.
