thadley 10 Posted April 12, 2011 Beautiful image and even though I have seen those rocks in other images here at PN, I still enjoy seeing them again. I am glad you won the 'lottery' which allows you to go this place. If you did not use a circular polarizer, it might have given results that would be different to this especially the blue sky. Congrats on a very fine shot. Link to comment
w-j-li 0 Posted April 12, 2011 Tony,Thanks for your advise. I did not use any polarizer. I will do it next time. I will try my best to do it better. Thanks for your encouragement. Best Regards, Link to comment
w-j-li 0 Posted July 14, 2011 We went there in the winter time, and it was very cold. Appreciate your comments. Link to comment
alfbailey 1 Posted July 14, 2011 Well proportioned and colourful image with thoughtful composition and striking rock formations. I think Tony may have been indicatiing the anomalies in the sky colour / gradation (I hope he will correct me if I'm wrong) so typical of circular polarisors and sometimes HDR, but if you didn't use one then there must be another explanantion, maybe processing. In any case I think its something that could be corrected. Very nice work Wanghan!Best RegardsAlf Link to comment

mike_palermiti 0 Posted July 15, 2011 Hi Wanghan,Nice shot, indeed. After what I have learned about filters in my lab studies, I avoid them like the plague. Whatever lens you used will perform much better without having inferior glass placed in front of it.Post processing today handles most any lighting and presentation requirements.Only in specialized imaging applications, like science, are selected filters most useful. Even then , there are compromises.Best Regards, Mike Link to comment
