As usual my friend, one superb image here aging, remarkable light of drama with the poster of the lady adding an outstanding sense to this well connecting image with the viewers, the tones are of very high quality and enhancing the composition also.

Thank you my friend for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

Andrea, On both of these the color and light control is really quite wonderful with the external elements blending blending seamlessly with the canvases. The only distinction being the frame separating the painted and the photographed observers. In this I like how it seems as though the woman is bending to kiss the feet of the Cardinal, I think there is some Catholic ritual about kissing the feet of Jesus.

I'm glad that they let you keep your camera here :-) Where did you take these?  -- At the Borghese Gallery..? They are wonderful, Andrea, and very creatively composed. The perceived interaction between the painting and the lady viewer, is perfect, funny (& also the other one), and totally pulls the photo together. Happy that you kept these in color as well, as the delicate light is very nicely rendered (especially the yellow & reds) Gr, M ( PS: Looks like you're very pleased with your new camera ;-)

Mar, Sumon, wim, thanks a lot.

mar, this is the "biblioteca alessandrina" in the Borromini's church of s'ivo, near piazza navona. founded in the 17° century by the pope alessandro VII. is a fantastic place where you can find all the officiel documents of the vaticano, also the manuscript with the condemnation of giordano bruno, for istance. for your next visit! ciao

So much is already said from others. What I like best is the situation, you really catch the right moment. And also the matching colours of the lady and the man in the painting. Your use of light is also fantastic.

Great lighting and composition. This photo does almost look like a painting of a painting. Do you give E-Lessons? A 7, for sure.
