davidmccracken 2 Posted April 15, 2011 I have just left a comment on a photograph commenting on the cut off fingers and elbows. Here is an example of how to cut off parts of limbs and make it look balanced. There's a lot of strong light around here. You have controlled it very well. A fine shot. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 258 Posted April 15, 2011 Maybe too much contrast for my taste, but as I said it's a matter of taste!Best regards!PDE Link to comment
gsphotoguy 2 Posted April 16, 2011 Thank you both for the comments.David - One of the nice things about working in B&W film is the long exposure curve. That, along with my new film scanner, that can handle the contrast range, lets me post images like this one. I wasn't sure about the cutoff elbows but decided they didn't bother me either.Pierre - I'm pleased you understand the choice I made to put her in this light. Others at the workshop wanted to add reflectors and a lot of fill and I asked them not to until I was done as I think this has some power that would have been missing with lower contrast.-Mark Link to comment
svetlana_korolyova 26 Posted April 18, 2011 I like the play of light and shadow on the body of a girl! Link to comment
