Somewhat enhanced to emphasise wrinkles and other features -- is ittoo obvious or does it still look natural to you?

if I were him I would not be so happy to see me portrait with all these wrinkles! however, the light in his eyes is really nice

I don't think it's over-processed.  His face has remarkable character, and the picture brings a lot of that out.  For me, the wrinkles are great!

However, I would love to see a more front on shot because his eyes seem really piercing, and I think that more emphasis could have been placed on them.

I hope that's useful!

Cheers

Helpful indeed, Rob.  Unfortunately, I don't have any en face shots of him -- it wasn't a posed session and he never looked directly into or faced the camera.

Anyway, I've re-processed this portrait to bring his features out more still while trying to preserve the natural look; the result is above.

Hi Tomas,

The new version is great improvement!  Well done.  It really does have a lot more punch!

Excellent work!

Cheers

Tempted to play with it some more, I tweaked a few things around, but guess it now boarders on too much (?)

I like both the new versions.  The second is definitely punchier, but both work on their own terms!

Cheers
