I really like the contrast with the soft sky and snow, and the texture of the Yucca and other brush that 'dots' the landscape.  Very nice indeed. sincerely, Gail

the snow looks really blue , is that how it looked? doesn't look bad really just kind of unreal..which sunrises and sunsets sometimes do to colors..just wondering..nice shot either way

Well I for one don't think the processing is over the top, perhaps the mask used to blend the exposures needs to be cleaned up on the mountain tops but if the sand was in the shade of dusk, then it was probably bluish. It's a nice composition as well with the repeating plants giving some depth to the photo.

I don't mind the strong blue at all; it is a great contrast to the sky. However I agree with Ryan that your blend - at least it appears to be a blend - particularly on the left, needs attention.

Sometimes I tend to over analyse an image instead of just appreciating it. I like it very much and i did not notice the dark sand (mid left) until it was mentioned. What i did notice though is the very dark tops of the two shrubs while the trunk is not dark. I usually get that when I I use a graduated neutral Density filter. Judging from what i see, I might have taken two images without the filter and then do a blend. Of course I could be wrong in my assumptions. It is still a very appealing image 'as is'. Congrats!

Geesh! The raters have been tough on this - I gave it a six.
