I actually like the colors pushed to the extreme. Looks like it is over sharpened to me though.

All one needs to do is rename this "The blue desert of the planet Trafalmador" and it is perfect as shown.  But the image is not a picture of "white" sand.

Thank you John, Linda and Jerry for your comments. Somehow, all shots here (on transparency) turn out far too blue (not as warm, but definitely as blue). So even though this was digital, I didn't hesitate to push the sliders... I did push the warmth too though, on the grass.

Please bear with me as I learn micro contrast and sharpening, it definitely seems to be a big deciding factor for "pop" (at least for me). From this shot and Linda's comments I learn not to sharpen blurred and out of focus objects (the sand is actually out of focus, maybe focusmagic will be better).
