Very unusual form,beautiful light and colors.looks a bit like a butterfly...;-))

Love the light and the colors in the picture. Also like the light frop off in the background. It brings out the flower very nicely.

Amal,  this is one of those images that ones imagination can just run wild. really like the form of petals with the purple, they remind me of the mighty eagle. at first glance i tended to agree with Cosmins comment about the black b/g. after looking at image for a while now feel your b/g really adds interest to flower, the diagonal lay and light on b/g work really well. nice work!

The blue petals are shaped like a bird feeding on nectar of the flower.

Excellent photo, Amalda. I especially like how you chose to darken the background to make the subject more prominent. Interesting observation by Mr Chatterjee above about the likeliness to a bird...I second that. Crisp, clear, clean photo.
