the steps are a great contrast to the kid. I really like the photo. I'd wonder how the photo look like, if the kid would have had colorful clothes ...

crop and timing is great - it's a fantastic photo. congrats to that shot.

wonderful energy - great composition - I like the compression of the steps and the illusion that the girl is perhaps balancing on the ledge on the dilapidated siding of a house - brighter colors might have drawn more attention to the girl, but the more muted colors define her in harmony with the tones and atmosphere you so beautifully created!

i actually like the fact that the girl is wearing similler colors to the stairs.. lloks like she is part of it. i love the illusion of the stairs. this is just a great shot!

Such a well designed shot. I think it works as it is. It is interesting to have to wait just that brief space of time to find the girl as she does not immediately stand out.
