"As I stand out here in the wonders of the unknown at Hadley, I sort of realize there's a fundamental truth to our nature. Man must explore. And this is exploration at its greatest." (David Scott, Apollo 15)

Beautiful abstract. The white light penetrating the fluorescent green is eye catching. And the curious one!

This is original, funny and has great color. You have chosen an interesting camera angle as well. Take care, Volker.

for its colour this photo clearly stands out from your portfolio. A very clear and concise composition centering around the invisible head. Leaving the corridor on the right hand side in the frame was the right decision: it adds both rhythm and mystery (more to explore...). The title suits perfectly.

A great photo (making me curious where the guy is looking at ;-))!

cheers, Wolfgang

the walls, the man, all invite us to pass that door. a perfect composition and an  absolutely perfect attitude of the person. not at all an abstract, but a pure and surprending street

Volker, the seemingly simple composition is really wonderful. I love the converging triangular pathways, the window of light, and the curious man who almost becomes an extension of the pathway.  I spent many hours at this museum and library when I was in graduate school, but I don't remember this particular part.

Many thanks for your comments which are very helpful and encouraging.

Tony: this shot was taken in autumn 2007, I do not remember whether this was perhaps part of a non-permanent exhibition, but it must have been located on the 2nd floor, most probably where they have the so-called Scaife Galleries / Lounge (I checked the floor plans).
