Owens Valley Winter
Lenticular clouds are as much a part of the Sierra landscape as the mountains themselves. I tried to make them more prominent in this composition by included their reflection as well. The backlighting made the winter scrub vibrant and radiant. This image was the result of manually merging 3 images of different focal lengths in quick succession. Zoom was set at 67mm for all 3 exposures. I was able to maximize sharpness throughout the image and overcame the lack of sharpness using a very small aperature for a single exposure. All images were shot a f11.
