Thanks Nelson! Yes, I was so lucky to get this shot since have never been able to catch much shot of killdeer let alone mating shot. I was in a secluded area near the creek and saw both of them. I decided to hang out and observe them. He was feeding on the shore, took off toward her, hop up and does his thing. I barely have enough reach with my 500mm, this shot is basically just a crop from the 100% view of the shot. Also, I had haul my tripod + gimbal head (something I rarely do) with me and that also help with a bit of somewhat low angle shooting. Hard to handhold kneeling or laying down. :-)

Thank you folks! I have to say that the piece of something on the foreground bother my eyes a great deal but I figure that I can not clone it out entirely since it cover the bird's feet. So, that's why it there. - Thanks for viewing/comments and happy ... birdshooting!
