This is such a lovely composition !!!  Beautiful landscape, water reflections, definiton, and the man in the boat plus the old shack on the dock seem to complete the image 'full circle' if you know what I mean, sorry, very tired and cannot think of the word I want.  But it is lovely to see this work from you. Very talented editing my friend,  congrats, Gail

just weird enough to be obviously not real, which is another fertile direction for you to take, i think.  best, j

lovely vista but perhaps a bit cool for mid-afternoon... in fact i see a bias towards blue... the reflection in the water, of the man and his boat, is not up to your usual standards, Pierre!

Such a peaceful scene Pierre, and perfect composition.

The angle of the boat house ramp, the human interest in the boat placed just right vs the tree in the background and the wide angle used to get the sweeping sky.

Excellent. You were either very good at at getting these things to set up before you pressed the shutter or (maybe) it's a composite image

Either way it's very skilled

All my best,   Bill

Alas, Bill, you guessed that I couldn't possibly take the right picture in the right moment! Yes, this is a montage, when I was on the pier taking pictures of the hut he wasn't there, the boatman! When I went to the shore he came right this way, I took a picture of him and then made PSD file of it! Not easy thing to do the reflections though! But it doesn't need luck!

Hello PD, Absolutely love this. From the excellent colors to the perfect composition. Great sky also. And this from the king of digital alteration. Great work and going into my favorites. Take care.

Sincerely,

Holger

Come vedi, saper gestire il computer fa miracoli,da la possibilità di un valore agginto,e di raccontare una storia che non c'era, potersi esprimere con facilità !

E tu sei un maestro,in questo,complimenti !          il primitivo:-))

Great image. I really love this one, very pleasing eyes. Beautiful reflection. The boat and the person are  in  the perfect position and the colour of the boat is just right in the picture. Excellent!

Pierre, a wonderful composition with the angle of the pier/building and the fisherman/boat. I wouldn't have thought it was a montage. The detail of the building is perfect.

The lyrism deployed in front of our eyes leave no room for technicalities to take over.  The boatman may not have been there -in first place- but the artist in you felt his presence was needed for the aesthetic balance of an impeccable composition . So we have him "a posteriori" ! So what? The photographer must not kill the painter within , we are not military photo reporters -"embedded" or not- so the poetry of an image may be and must be salvaged by the handy skills and means. The "truth" of a scene suffers more from the enhanced "nuclear -like skies " of a "must -impress- landscape-shot". Period !

P.S

Infinite  thanks ,Pierre, for the insightful comment on the distorted pillars in my Natural History Museum  B&W photo and on my humble leaf.
