Mark, This is a great series of photos and it is a close call for me between this one, "Pointed" and the color version with the 2 petals. But for me this one has a slight edge in that the composition is more delicate (despite the edginess of the sharp points - maybe that's where delicacy comes from, the contrast of soft and harsh?) and has an air of grace for lack of a better term. I think the DOF is perfect with the 2 front petals in focus and the 3rd slightly out of focus and the rest fading gradually out of focus in the distance, this gives it a great softness which to me greatly contributes to the delicateness that I feel. Thanks for this great series!
