dee_smith2 0 Posted February 7, 2003 This is an absolute KILLER shot!! I love it. This may be the best thing I've seen in two days of looking at 100s of pics (called in sick at work). I'm afraid I will gush like a schoolgirl if I don't watch it. I like everything about this. Amazing composition, awesome DOF, colors. You found a thing of beauty in a place where almost no one else would even think to look. Damn. I can't say enough. I'm going to stop before I embarrass myself. Link to comment
ray watson 0 Posted February 8, 2003 Thanks for the nice comments Dee. I will see if I can find any other rusty nails and screws around for you ;-). I was outside taking some shots with some new diopters, as I was coming in the front door I saw the numbers on the front of the house and there was the rusty screw. I don't know how many times I have passed it in the last 5 years but I had never really seen the possibilities before. Link to comment
ray watson 0 Posted February 8, 2003 I just liked the look of this screw. The rust giving a rough look compared to the brass. Thoughts/comments appreciated. Link to comment
ian_macdonald2 0 Posted February 9, 2003 A good close look at something we can overlook everyday. Link to comment
jimmcnitt 0 Posted February 9, 2003 I will refrain from making any bad puns about this rusty screw. Nice marco! Link to comment
ray watson 0 Posted February 9, 2003 Thanks for all the comments everyone. Mya, I guess you really, really didn't like this one eh? Thanks for looking anyway. Link to comment
misterken 0 Posted February 17, 2003 A little WD-40 might help. I like the image and it made me remember a shot I took of a propane tank gauge on a trip to Illinois (wife's relatives there). Her aunt was incredulous that I would want to photograph the gauge; "Why that gauge hasn't worked in 20 years!" Link to comment
