Those two birds are doing security duty. I remember as a child in Cyprus my father used to photograph the flamingoes during their seasonal migration on Akrotiri Salt Lake. Their were always two birds at either end of the flock which would sound the alarm at our approach or the numerous stray dogs that used to hunt them. Lovely shot BTW!
