I love Gerbera's and this is just a lovely 'dance' .  I really like how the petals of the flowers behind the first are caressing the stem of the ones in from of them.  Gives it an intimate feel, just as the Tango starts off with some gentle moves and then the passion begins.  Just lovely, and the white background sets it off just nicely.  My sincere regards, Gail

A very creative composition, I really like the overall shape you have created by arranging these three blossoms together and letting them showcase without background distractions.

A creative and artistic composition. Beautiful colors in a revealing background. Diagonally placed elements are really effective in enhancing the beauty of the composition. Best regards.

I appreciate all the kind comments and your thoughts!

This is a potted gerba plant given to me by a co-worker. I did not pose these three this is the way they are growing. I placed a white paper behind the pot and used a slight blue toned flashlight to make it bright and remove the grey color we so often get from white. I took several images from many angles...this one was my favorite.

Thank you so much!

Warmest regards, Pamela

White backgrounds don't normally do it for me, but I have to concede that in this case it is used to great effect as an integral part of the successful presentation of these flowers.  Beautiful detail and natural colour, and daring to be different!

Sincere Compliments

A flashlight to illuminate the background?  How exotic!  Thanks for throwing that info in there.  It's no doubt going to help someone else who is trying to get similar results with minimal equipment.  Discovering or rediscovering useful techniques is another valuable attribute of PN. Now, a clue as to your main light source for your subject would also be useful.  I like your choice of landscape (horizontal) framing.  Many (most?) would have opted for a portrait (vertical) framing and would have, in the process, diminished the size and thus the importance of the blooms within the frame.  Speaking of blooms, photographing them from the rear is also a step outside the box.   Your vision is a cut above the average I'd say.  Don't ask for some suggestion on how to improve this one; I can't think of any.  Best, LM.
