dom1 1 Posted March 6, 2011 The Golden Plover is a winter visitor to Hawaii. Adults typically return to Hawaii in August from arctic nesting grounds. What a flight! But well worth it to winter on Maui, yes? The white streaks = rain. Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted March 7, 2011 Very good catch Dominick! Generally, I would prefer more room on the right for the bird to fly into but this one work for me as well. Nice blur surrounding with the bird sharp. TFS! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 10, 2011 First I want to say sorry for rating the image yesterday and not having time to comment... I thought the image was indeed well done, I will refrain from a lighting aspect as I think the work to keep the depth of field on the bird in flight with a multi focal point which could eaisly go to the back ground and blur the bird was a good shot... Blue sky shots are less likly to have that problem as no focal point in shear blue skies... The image is indeed worthy of good marks as I have marked very high as I was impressed as I said with the work you had to do to keep the image crisp! MJ Link to comment
Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted January 10, 2012 Generally a nice picture, but I think the background detracts a bit from the bird in flight. I checked your details and it doesn't include any data on the DOF, but in the future, I think a very narrow DOF would greatly wipe out the B/G and focus attention on the actually very sharp bird.
