indywatchman 0 Posted February 4, 2003 It's amazing that the eye never gets full of seeing. This beautiful picture I've driven past many, many times and never get tired of looking. Link to comment
posie_jardine 0 Posted February 4, 2003 Beautiful work! You have captured both the crispness of the snow on the fir tree and the gentleness that comes with snow. Well Done! oliver_indra 0 Posted February 5, 2003 The colours dont really match and I do not like the softning effect. If this would have been real fog you should have lost a lot of details in the background. The pic looks too artificial like that, at least for my opinion. Grees, Link to comment
indywatchman 0 Posted February 5, 2003 Sorry the colors don't match, it's all nature provided. The photo has little manipulation. A copy of the original, placed above the original, was slightly blurred and darkened and opacity reduced. Unsharp mask was applied to the original. The saturation was increased over all. But, as a whole this is how the scene appeared. Link to comment
jeff nichols 0 Posted February 6, 2003 great photo. is this a double exposure with one in focus and one not? Link to comment
ssonne 0 Posted February 6, 2003 the tone and the colours are wonderful...it creates a great feel for the place and the mood there...being Canadian I'm a great fan of the subtle beauty of winter :) Link to comment
stefanovandelli 0 Posted February 7, 2003 I don't normally like soft focus, but it seems to be working rather well here. Link to comment
PurpWaltz 3 Posted February 11, 2003 A wonderful scene, but transformed via flawless execution into a work of art. Superbly composed and executed! Link to comment
ben neptun 0 Posted February 13, 2003 I understand that some blurring is artistic, but I think you went overboard here. My eyes are straining too much. I like the composition and exposure. Link to comment
jimvanson 0 Posted February 19, 2003 Steve...this photo, like many of the exceptionally beautiful places that surround us, was passed by me until today. Then suddenly it's grace tripped me up. I looked then; I'm profoundly glad I did...wonderful shot, it took me away from the city for 10 minutes while I sat and fantasized about being there...tkx...jim Link to comment

peta 0 Posted May 29, 2003 Enjoying looking at your folders...wonderful work. :) This is exceptionally lovely, such beautiful softness. It amazes me how subjective art of all kind is...going by the ratings here. Oh well, I love it. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted January 23, 2004 This almost makes winter look inviting. Wonderful image, love the softness. Link to comment
