Gorgeous colors and a very sweet pose!

Tm...  Wow, what can I say?!  I hesitate to give these birds human traits but look at that body language; it's downright uncanny.  She's demure but poised, wings drooped in submission, slyly leaning into him, and giving him the eye at the same time.  Him.... LOL, what a randy male; puffed up wings, pressing on her, whispering in her ear and not to miss the crazed look in his eye!  So much for interpretation, as a photo it's excellent... Mike

Michael, I think the Black-necked Stilt mating ritual is very touching and elegant. This was taken after he had hopped off the process but yet the moment is sooo fine and sweet. It's almost like great ballroom dancing and I would say it's a Tango. Mr. Mallard & Mr. Pintail can take a lesson from these fellow on finesse  :-)

Thanks SNN! I got 2,3 session like this the last 6 days, hence, I think it's the season now to get this type of shot. Taken at SJWS, I think the birds now hang out at the first lake/pond on the right.

I have not seen its equal. Great work Tm J!
