This is an interesting picture. It's a shot that could be easily overlooked. A subtley colored monolith with its snowy mantly and the branches seemingly levitating above it, all set against the softly shadowed gray of the snow - one needs time to take it all in.

So, I'm sitting here shuffling through the critique forum and my stomache is growling. Need to head for lunch soon......and I see your photo. I can't help but think of a big fudge brownie with powdered sugar on top! Okay, so like I said, I'm hungry.

Really cool shot though. It absolutely is thought provoking. Is it a walled entrance to something underground? A perfect cut-out of Earth? Whatever it is, I agree with the above critique; it's very interesting and could have easily been passed by without a glance.

I like your composition and I like the limbs/vines hanging above that come from??? Well, you don't really need to know where from. I think you could probably go more abstract and crop them out. That would put all of the focus on the....brownie :).......It would possibly make the viewer wonder even more about what exactly it is.
