street, in two parts, within the Old City of Jerusalem, held to be the path

that Jesus walked, carrying his cross, on the way to his crucifixion. The

current route is today marked by nine Stations of the Cross. The route

is a place of Christian pilgrimage"

I am interested to know what they are doing with the cross ?  Only one person is carrying all the way or one at the time?

I don't know. It is a christian mitzva so maybe they share the mitzva.

After studying the scene. The two persons holding the wood maybe do carry it together as well. More interesting is the lady on the right, being blind she is trying to get an impression of the size and by that eventual the weight. Meir, in 1982 the Arch of the Covenant is found. The story is incredible. You, Meir Samel, even did/do pass the hidden place, not knowing it!
