I wonder how could the focal length be 700mm with a lens of 500mm with a full frame camera?!

Thanks Pierre! I had the 1.4X on the 500mm and that's : 500 + (500 * 1.4 = 200) = 700mm. The 1D Canon serie has a 1.3X sensor, btw. Only the 1DS is fullframe (and the 5D, 5D II also). So, this one is 700mm on a 1.3 sensor that actually equal to 910mm (700mm + (700 * 1.3 = 210)) in focal length.
