gsphotoguy 3 Posted December 26, 2011 Continuing on my review of 2011 work. A friend began organizing mini- workshops in February. These have 4 to 5 models and 8 to 10 photographers. This was from the first of these. Link to comment

Elstad 5 Posted December 26, 2011 Marvelously Done Mark! I like the way the image fades away in the lower left corner. Make it a great year in 2012! -r- Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 26, 2011 I appreciate how well the light works with the content and the expression here. It's not just nice lighting for lighting's sake and not just to "show off" your model. It's an expressive use of lighting. It draws us into her expression and plays off here eyes and their gaze. The shadows are suggestive, severe yet with a gentleness at the same time. Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted December 27, 2011 Thank you all!Niki - I often think that shadows are more important then the lighted areas.Raymond - This session was an early one using a single light in a soft box close to the model. I was particularly interested in photographing a black model that way. She loves the result.Svetlana - I appreciate your comment.Fred - I like it when others see the emotion I was after. I try to incorporate that in much of my work with nudes and don't always succeed. It is nice when someone else feels I have too.-Mark Link to comment
