brent_blankinship 0 Posted February 27, 2011 Not much to dislike about this image. DOF, color, composition, lighting, all excellent. Love the expression, background, cropping, messy hair, clothing, all fits together. Very nice work...Congrats...Brent Link to comment

vincenzo_corbo 0 Posted February 27, 2011 Very nice portrait. Like the tone, really awesome and the composition: the train, the rails in the background increase the strength of the shot. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted March 1, 2011 Very emotional appearance for this young lady here and the background enhances that sense amazingly, you also mastered the tone and the eyes well connect with the camera ( viewers ).All of the best. Link to comment
liz_longfield 0 Posted November 12, 2011 The use of shallow depth of field puts all the emphasis on the face of the girl, who is connecting with the viewer with her eyes. This is a beautiful portrait, with her eyes so full of emotion. It is a wonderful composition, my eyes look at her face first and then wander around a muddled background just to focus back on her face, which makes you wonder what she is thinking about because it is serious and intense. The formal elements of this photograph drive the content, where I feel that this young girl has the weight of the world on her shoulders but she is strong and just waiting to figure out where to go next. love it!
