Excellent lighting and great tones. Congrats.

A meditative scenery is revealed here, embracing the viewer with a powerful stillness of another kind. Exeptional b&w editing, perspective and angle of view. Splendid lines and contrasts of them, so beautifully arranged. Furthermore, awesome contrasts of lights and shades. In this special lighting, these pillars seem to resemble remnants of doric columns once carrying an ancient doric temple... This could not have been produced by a single snapshot IMO; the viewer realizes that the photographer must have intensively looked for the right position and moment (especially regarding the shades, symmetries, lines etc.). A special love for this particular spot could have been involved here as well, I assume. Bravo. Very, very well done.

Very nicely done.  I like the tones, the perpective, the use of light and shadow.  Looks very familiar to me also (the highrise on the headland at far left)...is this Scripps Pier in La Jolla by any chance?
