lonebearimages 0 Posted February 26, 2011 Nicely done, and the down-low POV gives it a ton of interest. I like the convergence of the tracks from the left with that shadowed section of snow on the right; it really funnels the eye into the center of the image and the woods. Cool shot! Cheers! timzeipekis 5 Posted February 26, 2011 I would've liked to get more of the treetops into the shot but always seem to have trouble stitching my panoramas when I get the horizon too low or too high (convergence, etc). Still kind of new at it. If anyone has advice for panos, I'l love to hear it. Link to comment
whydangle 0 Posted February 27, 2011 Nice feeling to this Tim. Well, the need to have the camera level for panos provides compositional challenges beyond the single frame shot. About the only advice I can give is to purchase a $2,400 TS lens so you can use the tilt function to eliminate distortion and convergence. Also, if you aren't using an L bracket to rotate the camera over the nodal point, then you are also going to run into additional issues. You can get a RRS tripod setup with a custom L bracket and Acrotech ballhead for about $1,200 more. My advice is free, but the solutions are costly! Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted February 27, 2011 Wow! yeah, a little too costly for my budget. Think I'll just try and manage with what I have and deal with the limitations. Of course, experimenting with creative alternatives is always fun too! Thanks for the advice Mark! Link to comment
