A few minutes after sunrise a bird visits the moss growth at the lake for

food. Single exposure using 75-200mm Vario Elmar. Thank you for viewing

Lester,

It is good to see a fine Leica lens on the Nikon camera.

I like the colors, the bird and its shadow cast onto the water.

My suggetsion is to crop the right side down to the large mass with the

red growth. Enlarge the image a bit and this would improve the theme of

the visitor.

Nice work,though.

Thanks for the intersting image,

Mike

Lester, even at thumbnail size, the contrast of the white underside of the bird's wings against the deep blue of the sea captures the viewer's attention.  Fortunately, this was shot at the right instant when the wings are nicely displayed.  A small bonus is the fact that the bird's reflection appears even in the debris-laden water.  Regarding Mike's crop suggestion, I think it's worth considering (although for practical matters you may also want to conform to some standard aspect ratio).  However, if this scene is cropped, you will lose some amount of context, and that may be important to you or to some viewer's.  That's one big reason why cropping (especially of a scene like this) is so subjective.

Mike, Tolo, Stephen & Raymond - Thank you all for your kind words.

Mike, your observations merit consideration.

Stephen, nicely put. Could not be explained any better.

 Regards to all! - LESTER
